Photo Gallery
The photo gallery tells the construction of the Tunnel in pictures.
There were distinct sections to the construction starting with the tunnel boring and the machines used and the cut and cover section, which employs different construction methods. A particularly challenging section was building the 60 meters of tunnel under a live rail line, see pipe jack gallery. The Tunnel then moved to mechanical and electrical fit out. The route and progress of the Tunnel can also be seen in the aerial photography.
